LOCATION
McGill Street is the main artery linking downtown Montreal to the Old Port.
It begins at "Victoria Square" in the heart of Montreal's new "International Quarter", which is spread over 0.8 km. and covers 27 hectares in the quadrilateral bordered by St. Urbain, St. Antoine, St. Jacques, University and Viger Streets, and where you will find:
- Tour de la Bourse (Square Victoria)
- International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)
- Head Office of Power Corporation
- Head Office of Groupe Québecor
- Le centre du Commerce Mondial (World Trade Centre)
- Le Palais des Congrès
- Place Bonaventure
- La Caisse de Dépôt et de Placement Building
- Bell Canada Building
- Head Office of the National Bank of Canada
- Intercontinental and Delta hotels together with a new international hotel under construction in front of Victoria Square
On the southern section of McGill Street, where you will find:
- The new Hotel St-Paul
- Canada Customs Building
- Federal Court Building
McGill Street runs from the Old Port of Montreal at the mouth of the Lachine Canal, which presently benefits from a revitalisation program to render it navigable.
The City of Montreal has allocated a budget of $12.2 million and plans to widen the sidewalks on McGill Street and embellish this artery with trees and new lamp posts.
Work should commence in 2005 and be completed in 2006.

ACCESS
S.T.M.
"Victoria Square" metro station is located two streets north. From this station, one can access the STM metro/bus network, which covers the Island of Montreal.
ON FOOT
From "Victoria Square" one can also access underground passages and commercial galleries, which lead east towards the "Palais des congrès" and northwest under downtown Montreal's office buildings.
BY CAR
The proximity of the Bonaventure Autoroute and the Ville-Marie Expressway (2-20) junction, with access at less than 1/2 mile of McGill Street, permitting rapid access to the Greater Montreal road network.
PARKING
On street with vignette. Public exterior parking at rear. Public interior parking on St. Maurice Street, at less than 150 ft. from the Sir James McGill.
